Susan has been collaborating with students since her Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) library mural led to the creation of workshops at CMEE and Child Development Center of the Hamptons and through NY CARES, and eventually a year teaching Art at Ross Middle School. She cofounded her SB Studios LLC mural and custom papers partnership in Brooklyn not long after receiving her BFA at Carnegie Mellon, and her work has been featured in publications such as World of Interiors and the 2017 books Out East, Houses and Gardens of the Hamptons (Ruddick) and New York Behind Closed Doors (Devlin). Sue enthusiastically returns to Summer Camp @Ross to share adventures in art-making and plenty of summer fun.
Alex is currently a master’s student at the University at Albany and is in the process of receiving her NYS certification as an ENL (English as a new language) teacher. Alex loves learning about new languages and cultures, and hopes to teach in Colombia after she graduates. Alex is excited for her second summer at Summer Camp @Ross!
Samantha is returning to Summer Camp @Ross for her fifth summer. She has worked with Early Childhood for the past few summers, mainly with the EC Sports group. She recently graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications.
Bridget is back for her fourth year at Summer Camp @Ross and is excited about having an amazing summer. She did gymnastics for many years and competed throughout high school. Upon graduation, she received her USAG certification and took her love of the sport from competing to coaching. A fun fact about Bridget is that she cofounded a club gymnastics team at her university.
Charlotte is back for her second summer at Summer Camp @Ross as a certified ocean (and CPR/BLS-certified) lifeguard. She is 17 and a senior at Southampton High School, where she is captain of the Varsity Tennis Team. She loves the ocean, vegan baking, French language and culture, and all animals. She also loves working with kids!
Noah, 18, is a certified ocean lifeguard and an East Hampton local. He’s best known for his paintings and graphic design, for which he will be attending Maryland Institute College of Art in the fall. He surfs, plays soccer, and makes music in his free time. He can also cook minute rice in 57 seconds.
Anna is returning for her fifth summer at Summer Camp @Ross working with Early Childhood. Anna is a recent graduate from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education with a concentration in psychology. She is working on becoming a teacher and getting her master’s degree in special education.
Talia has always had a passion for horses and horseback riding. She loves having the opportunity to share her passion for horses with others through teaching. She believes understanding and working with animals is a valuable skill. She is excited for the commencement of summer, and to continue sharing her enthusiasm for a sport as wonderful as horseback riding.
Nick has had such a great time working as a lifeguard for Summer Camp @Ross. He loves that he gets to be by the beach while getting to know so many interesting and fun campers. His interests include swimming (of course) as well as reading and listening to music.
This will be Andrew’s seventh year at Summer Camp @Ross! He has been part of the Southampton community for well over 35 years and has worked in the East Hampton community for the past 7+ years. He has enjoyed building relationships with many of the Summer Camp @Ross staff, counselors, campers, and parents over the years.
